Dana and Randy

I've been friends with Dana for close to two years now and she has been following my work. She has been married for over 6 years but never had engagement photos with Randy before they got married because he doesn’t really like getting his picture taken. I met Dana and Randy for a fun couples shoot-but they told me up front they didn't want only 'traditional' kind of shots. They wanted to include something a little edgy and artsy; something with a more serious overtone because that’s more Randy’s style. We also decided to throw in a few fashion style modeling types of shots-like what you would see in a magazine: posed, serious. We finally decided on a city streets mood- part of the time Randy dressed up with sorta a mobster look with a coat, tie and hat (the hat did it, he LOVES that hat); it all just worked for the shot...very cool (all we needed was a Tommy gun and a 1920 Cadillac… joking!). So we spent about two hours running around the town taking some fun pictures and had a blast. During a few shots Dana had to tell Randy “stop posing like a mobster, we’re in love”... lol. That was too funny. So we ended up with a shoot that had an urban, industrial twist… right up their “alley”, ha-ha. Definitely non-traditional. Meredith & Macon's Wedding Day

I first met Meredith and Macon last year in the summer during their engagement session. At that time they asked me to do their wedding. Well the time has finally arrived and it kicked off at the Brook Valley Country Club and what a beautiful day it was. The wedding started at 12, a very tough time for outdoor photography but we waited till after the reception when the light wasn't so harsh to head outside to play. We had some planned shots and went out with two golf carts snapping away, laughing and having fun. Here are some of my favorites. Meredith makes a beautiful bride and Macon looked pretty cool in his dress blues! Had a great time guys and look forward to some babies in the near future...hint hint!!
