Devin Mizelle and the love for Hockey

Meet a new up and coming ECU hockey player: Devin Mizelle. Heather, Devin's mom, saw my portfolio of sports portraits and contacted me to do a shoot with Devin. She had some definite ideas for what she wanted, but she also wanted some sizzle-something creatively new, something that 'hadn't been done'. Heather wanted indoor and outdoor shots but she wanted to maintain the hockey theme throughout so we kept the stick handy. In all the shoot took two days to complete. As for the sizzle, we knew Devin played a pretty hot stick, so I thought I would apply that to the new shot. After thinking about the options, we decided to light the stick. We ended up with that new shot and a
Great poster with a flaming hockey stick that they absolutely loved. They were great to work with and I got A chance to create something new: the fire shot. I was happy with the results but most importantly so were they. Click on the images for a larger view.

Stephanie's Maternity Photoshoot

I met the Meadows family while doing a beach photo shoot during the summer. At that time you couldn't tell Melanie was expecting, but she told me she wanted to do some maternity shots and then some newborn shots after the baby came. Time passes quickly so we thought we had better get busy with the camera. We decided to do two sessions, one inside and one outside. We started out with railroad tracks as part of the scene...the tracks are always one of my favorite props. Then we moved on to an open field for some wider angle shots and finally some indoor shots. The pictures turned out great-there's no better way to document your pregnancy than with photographs. Stephanie did a great job, Ryan made things even better, and maybe we'll get those newborn shots with Riley included soon. Can't wait to photograph the newborn! Baby Bridget Christmas Photos

Wanted to share a couple of pictures from a Christmas photoshoot with 4 month old Bridget. We took about 20 minutes and snapped a couple of pictures for her Christmas cards and the parents were thrilled with the outcome. We had a few ideas in mind and baby Bridget did such a wonderful job posing, don't you agree? Merry Christmas guys.

The Adorable Summer Jones

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to get Summer out for some new photos. My wife picked out a cute outfit and hat for the shoot-but we had to wait until the weather was just a little cooler. I had an idea for the shoot; I had just photographed some kids the previous week at this same location; we really loved the buildings so we headed out for the same spot. Even though it was a little chilly, Summer was up for it and did a perfect job. Well, she might have complained a bit, but candy works wonders! She is as cute as a button, works the camera like a pro, and now we have some Christmas presents for the grandparents. It just doesn’t get any easier than that. Great job Summer! Love you….mom and dad.

The Miles Family

I met the Miles family earlier in the year at one of my friends house and they asked about doing some pictures so I got the call the other week and they were looking for some nice black and whites so I thought of a cool location that would work and off we went. What a beautiful family you have and your kids are just as cute as a button. My wife walked in while I was editing some images the other night and she made the comment on how adorable your kids looked. Enjoy the pictures. Click on the images for a larger view.
