The Hart Wedding

For me, Jena and Jon’s wedding day started off on a cold afternoon at her parent’s house. She and her bridesmaids were busily getting ready for the day, but I knew the excitement had begun before I arrived. This is when things really start to unfold and the emotions begin to come out. Jena wanted to capture the “first look” and that moment is an awesome experience that I always love to photograph. There are no words to fully describe the emotions that instant can reveal… you will always catch a bursting smile or the twinkling of a tear. This one took place on the bridge of the Brook Valley Golf course and, as you will see, Jena had to hide behind cars so Jon wouldn’t spot her before she was all set… it was quite funny to watch! Once we were all ready, the first look went perfectly. You can definitely tell they were excited to see each other! We finished up with some fun shots of the groomsmen and bridesmaids before heading to the church. Once there we were greeted with a funny but, at the same time, serious ceremony from Jena’s father… sound confusing? Well, I guess you had to be there. ;-) After the ceremony, we wrapped up the day’s events with a small reception back at Brook Valley and the rest, as they say, is history! Congrats to Jena and Jon; I had an absolute blast at your wedding! Click on the images for a slideshow!
